When Oliver first started releasing music around the age of 17, he very quickly started getting regular support shows with acts like Lucy Rose and Rae Morris, as well as slots at festivals such as Latitude, Folk in the East and Barn on the Farm. After being tipped by industry tastemakers like The Tipping Point, he was suddenly getting interest from Island Records and Blackbooks Management. During this period he also collaborated with acts including Engine Earz Experiment and Catz N Dogz.
Oliver is a former Access Creative College Birmingham student and after declining offers from Island Records and Blackbooks, he went to University. Here he formed a 7 piece post-rock band (as their drummer and vocalist), started dj'ing around the South West as well as developing new solo material.
Fast forward to 2019, having just featured on the recent Tony Njoku album, Oliver is living in Hackney, having written a new EP and a currently in-progress debut album under his new alias, Oliver Say.
Oliver’s music is a heavily melodic and textural representation of his psyche. Through the interplay of choral vocals and brutally intimate lyrics, he builds his pieces to beautify his experiences and transform them into something resonant and hopeful.
Olivers Say's single AIASW is out early July with an EP to follow.
Archy Tomás is an 18 year old from the small town of Bourne in Lincolnshire. From the age of nine, he spent every minute he could playing any instrument he could find. By 12, he was writing his own songs and recording them on his mum’s phone. By 16, his first self-produced single was played on BBC Music Introducing.
Now, after his time at ACC Lincoln and over lockdown, he has curated his own unique sound. Combining hard hitting walls-of-sound with catchy guitar hooks, he aims to create anthems for the next generation of rock.
After connecting with Cetera, Archy played the virtual Inbetweeners Stage at Latitude in 2020. Dead-set with ambition, it is now time for him to step beyond the screen and connect with a live audience once again. From the moment the clock stopped back in 2020, he has been preparing to release new music, always with the intention of performing it live.
Archy’s debut single, Tectonic, will be released on the 1st September 2021.
